Injections

Joint Injections are non-surgical treatments that offer pain relief for the patient. Pain treated can range from back and acute pain, to chronic and orthopedic pain.

Injections

We offer several injections currently available in the industry. The type of injection administered depends on the type of pain the patient is experiencing, and where it is located. Injections relieve pain caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sports injuries and back pain.

TRIGGER POINT

What is it?
A trigger point, or painful “knot” forms in the body when a muscle cannot relax. Trigger point injections are used to deliver medication directly into the knot, or trigger point, within a patient’s body.

Benefits?
Trigger point injections can be used to lessen muscle pain in the arms, legs, lower back and neck. They are also used to treat fibromyalgia and tension headaches.

REGENERATIVE

What is it?
Regenerative medicine is the process of replacing or “regenerating” human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. This new field of medicine is centered around the idea that medicine can be used to regenerate damaged tissues and organs in the body by stimulating the body’s own repair mechanisms for healing.

Benefits?
Regenerative medicine may be used to cure previously untreatable injuries or diseases.

ACUPUNCTURE

What is it?
Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites–commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. Acupuncture, in its most common form, stimulates acupoints through the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin.

Benefits?
Accupuncutre has been known to successfully treat conditions ranging from muscoloskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia and even infertility.

SACROILIAC

What is it?
The sacroiliac joint is a the largest joint between the base of the spine and the pelvis, and appears in the body on both the right & the left hand side. When one of these joints becomes painful, a person can experience pain in the immediate region or referred pain may be felt in the groin, abdomen, hip, buttock and leg.

Benefits?
A sacroiliac joint injection is designed to reduce inflammation, and therefore alleviate pain. If the sacroliac joint injection provides relief, it may be used to determine the source of a patient’s pain.

PRP

What is it?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentration created using a patient’s own blood. The platelets, once separated, are injected back into the patient to promote healing.

Benefits?
PRP injections use the body’s own healing factors on the injured area. These injections are commonly used for osteoarthritis and sports injuries.

INTRARTICULAR JOINT

What is it?
Intrarticular joint injections are used on the shoulder, hip, knee or other articular joints. They can be performed with an x-ray, or ultrasound, to assist with diagnosing the source of the pain. Relief is provided by delivering local anesthetic, and anti-inflammatory steroid medications into specific joints.

Benefits?
Intraricular joint injections may reduce inflammation that results in long-term pain relief.

BURSA

What is it?
Bursa injections are administered into specific synovial fluid filled fibrous sacs (bursa), that are adjacent to joints in the body. The injections can help diagnose the source of pain, and also may provide relief.

Benefits?
Bursa injections may reduce inflammation, resulting in long term pain relief.
