We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a night with Carol Decker author of Unshattered, Overcoming Tragedy & Choosing a Beautiful Life. Carol became a blind triple amputee due to sepsis. She is a wife and mother of 2. In 2008, while pregnant with her second child, she found out she had the bacterial infection sepsis. She was rushed into an emergency c-section and later lost 3 of her limbs and eventually her sight. During recovery she had to endure skin grafts over a 3rd of her body and relearn how to walk, eat, and normal everyday tasks, on top of caring for her 2 daughters. She will share how she learned to triumph over adversity and pain, to live a beautiful life despite her disabilities.
The event will be held at Sutter Health Education & Conference Center at 1700 McHenry Ave, Suite 60 B, Modesto, CA 95350 on Thursday October 25th, 2018 at 7 PM.
